Since 1902, AAA has been a leader in developing and supporting transportation policy as well as educational and safety programs for motorists, pedestrians, cyclists and children. At a national level, AAA actively represents the interests of motorists and other travelers for fair transportation taxes, traffic safety issues, energy, environmental, travel and tourism issues. Club experts testify before the U.S. Congress on a variety of issues including safer highways and vehicles, drunk driving prevention programs, child passenger safety and truck safety. Locally, AAA Oklahoma monitors legislative activities and proposes and drafts legislation to benefit Oklahoma travelers, reporting potentially significant developments to members.
