OUR MISSION
The Hemophilia Alliance of Maine was born out of a mutually recognized desire to connect with others in the hemophilia community.
Feeling disconnected from the rest of the hemophilia community, HAM was formed to create support, programming, and advocacy for Maine’s unique rural bleeding disorders population.
The Hemophilia Alliance of Maine’s mission is to assist and enhance the quality of life for Maine’s people and families who have a bleeding disorder. Our monthly meetings are open to the public. If you would like to attend, please CONTACT US and we can let you know when and where.
OUR VISION IS TO STRENGTHEN THE MAINE BLEEDING DISORDERS COMMUNITY.
OUR GOALS
1. To provide ACCESS to local and regional educational programming and networking opportunities for people with bleeding disorders, as well as their support network.
2. SUPPORT the ongoing education of medical professionals in our rural state.
3. ADVOCATE at the personal, local, state, and national level.
4. Provide emergency ASSISTANCE for Mainers who are affected by a bleeding disorder.
HAM is a proud member of the HEMOPHILIA FEDERATION OF AMERICA and a NATIONAL HEMOPHILIA FOUNDATION Affiliated Chapter
