Established in 1997 as PNG Diagnostic Centre, Pacific International Hospital(PIH) was the first medical enterprise to bring CT-Scan diagnostic facility to Papua New Guinea.
In 2001, Pacific International became the first fully-licensed private hospital in the country, offering 24/7 Private Emergency and Hospital services.
In 2005 PIH evolved from a secondary care facility to a semi-tertiary multi-specialty critical care facility, with the introduction of an Intensive care unit and the first Hemodialysis and Mammography unit in PNG.
