Encourage, Empower, & Overcome
About Us
The Mental Health Association (MHA) in Essex County, NY was founded in 1966 by the Mental Hygiene Association. Currently our services are available to adults throughout Essex County with mental health issues.
Think Recovery!
The Mental Health Association promotes the concept of “recovery”, achieving one’s dreams in life by providing encouragement, empowerment and the hope necessary to overcome the effects of mental illness. Through a selfdetermined, person-centered approach we assess, refer, and link individuals to programs and resources within the Mental Health Association and community at large.
