Make-A-Wish Israel is the Israeli affiliate of Make-A-Wish International, whose sole mission is to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions between the ages of 3-18, to enrich the human experience with Hope, Strenght and Joy.
Make-A-Wish Israel was founded in 1996 and has since granted over 1800 magical wishes.
Make-A-Wish was established in 1980 in Pheonix, Arizona, when Linda, the mother of seven year old Chris, suffering from cancer, granted him, together with the Pheonix Police Department, his wish to become a Police Officer for a day. Since then, more than 280,000 wishes have been granted worldwide, in 36 countries and 50 chapters in the USA.
Wish children can dream To be...To have...To meet...or, To go.
Among the wishes that have been granted are "To meet" Bill Clinton, Lionel Messi, Madonna; "To go" to Disney World, NY, Paris; "To have" a new bedroom, a puppy, an Ipad; "To be" a king for a day, a model, a millionaire, or a fireman...and many more magical wishes.
The activities of Make-A-Wish Israel are supported by private donations, corporate contributions, gifts and various fund-raising events.
Donations to the foundation are recognized by the Israeli Income Tax Authorities as "tax deductible", pursuant to the provisions of Article 46 of the Israeli Income Tax Ordinance.
