ADD, the Association for the Developmentally Disabled, is a Hattie Larlham agency in Central Ohio. ADD has been supporting people with developmental disabilities in Ohio since it was founded in 1971. For more than 40 years our mission has not changed – to improve quality of life for people in our community who have a developmental disability such as autism, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy or other intellectual disability. We believe that when people feel in charge, empowered, included and capable, the whole community benefits.
We fulfill our mission by providing meaningful and life-enriching supports, one person at a time. Whether someone needs a place to live, work, learn or connect in their community, Add makes it happen through our various programs and services including Residential Supports, Add Ventures (education and recreation opportunities), Add Employment Services (supported employment), Community Connections (social and recreational opportunities) and the Dahlberg Gibson Learning Center (early childhood intervention).
Add makes use of all the funding that is available to support individuals, including local and federal funds, but it is often simply not enough. We rely on charitable giving to bridge the gaps created by diminished federal funding. Please join us in making it happen with your donation today! www.addohio.org/donate
