The San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board helps people find jobs and build careers, and helps employers find qualified workers and meet their business needs. This supports a strong, vibrant economy by encouraging business growth and creating opportunities for employees and job seekers.
The San Bernardino County Workforce Development Department operates programs under the guidance of the Workforce Development Board (WDB), funded by the Department of Labor’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
The America’s Job Centers of California (AJCCs) are strategically located in the East Valley, West Valley and High Desert Regions of the County. WDB implements comprehensive strategies to meet the needs of local businesses for a skilled workforce, while creating opportunities for workers to prepare for and enter into well paid careers.
o For companies and employers, we provide a multitude of business solutions and are an invaluable resource for finding well-trained, high-quality employees. This is at no cost to the business and helps them save money.
o For employees and job seekers, we provide the training, retraining and placement assistance they need to get back to work and make a livable wage.
o Our board is comprised of influence leaders in business, labor, education and government.
o We listen to businesses to make sure we have a well-trained workforce that meets the needs of all industry sectors, especially those that offer the greatest long-term growth potential for our county (e.g., logistics, manufacturing and health care).
