Founded in 1941, Charlotte Country Day School was the first independent school in Charlotte and remains the largest independent, coeducational college preparatory school in the area and among the top 20 in the country. The school enrolls approximately 1,660 students in grades junior kindergarten through 12 and is recognized for academic excellence, acclaimed International Baccalaureate (IB) and international studies programs, state-of-the art technological resources, and opportunities in arts, athletics, community service and leadership development.
