First we shape our places, then our places shape us.
Right Angle began in 2005 as a business dedicated to understanding and improving life in cities. The idea back then was the same as it is now: to invest our time, energy and capital into making better places, because we believe that better places ultimately make for better people. We do this by providing services in research, strategy, design and delivery.
More than 15 years later, Right Angle is considered one of the world’s most influential urban strategy and placemaking companies, operating on four continents across an exceptionally broad range of property: from rapid positive gentrification in Africa to luxury property in Asia. Put simply, we help landowners and custodians maximise the economic, social, cultural and environmental value of their land through creative development.
Our project portfolio is a combination of client commissions and award-winning, self-funded projects that expose us to the risks of launching new ideas to market and the challenges of creating self-sustaining places. This hard-fought experience in the very real world of delivery is what grounds our theoretical world of strategy and embeds an appreciation of what our clients go through when they choose to bring a place to life.
Currently we work with governments, not-for-profit organisations, publicly listed and private companies. The important thing to us is not the size of a client, but their ability to improve the cities in which they operate and the lives of people within them.
