Capitant is a student organisation which aims to introduce students to and further guide them in the world of finance, in all aspects and worldwide.
Capitant was founded in the summer of 2010 and is fully supported by students. We have three main objectives.
Firstly, we want to offer an extra-curricular forum to students where they can get to know the world of finance and make their first contact with professionals from this interesting environment. We also provide a platform for students who are already familiar with the financial markets where they can exchange information, build a network, and further broaden their knowledge.
Secondly, we aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Therefore, we provide interesting career opportunities for students in collaboration with our partners active in the financial sector.
Our final objective is to familiarize the students with not only the financial world, but the global economy and the business world as a whole. We believe the financial world cannot be seen as a separate entity from entrepreneurship, creativity and the world economy. By, for example, offering students case studies and workshops students get the opportunity to not only assess and discuss the fair value and financial structure of the company, but also experience the management and company culture.
To achieve these objectives, we are active both on national level and in the five biggest university cities in Belgium: Brussels, Leuven, Liège, Ghent and Antwerp.
