Edina Police Department is a first ring suburb of Minneapolis in Hennepin County. As a first-ring suburb with a significant retail area and three major commuter freeways, Edina has a variety of law enforcement challenges. The Police Department faces these challenges with a dedicated group of officers, dispatchers and support staff who consistently deliver outstanding police services. The Department is proud of its community involvement and high level of service, and is committed to continued efforts to keep Edina a safe place to live and work. The agency has 54 sworn officers and a total of 75 employees including civilian staff. We are proud to have our own state of the art 911 communication center. Which is the only communication center in Hennepin County that dispatches police, fire and EMS from one place.
