Hinza AB is the Swedish company behind the popular Hinza bags - colourful bags of durable plastic in classic design. Hinza is located in Perstorp in the very south of Sweden. This is where the first Swedish plastic was manufactured as far back as 1918, by Skånska Ättiksfabriken, later to become Perstorp AB. In the 1950s, Perstorp AB was Scandinavia’s largest producer of plastic. Many popular, everyday plastic products were developed here during that period. One of them was the Perstorp Bag, on which Hinza’s bag is modelled. Karin Bachstätter, a descendent of the founder of Skånska Ättiksfabriken, is managing director of Hinza.
