Tilburg University is an internationally oriented institution for research and education in the Netherlands. Language obviously plays an important role in this. Language is used to establish contacts, acquire knowledge, convey information, and publish results of scientific research. At the Tilburg University Language Center, you can improve your academic skills in Dutch or English or learn an entirely new language. We offer courses in Dutch as a second language (Nt2), English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, and Arabic. The Tilburg University Language Center contributes to the improvement and development of the language skills of students, university staff, and external course participants. In addition, together with Fontys University of Applied Sciences, the Language Center offers the Language and Preparatory Program geared towards higher education for participants in a civic integration program of almost all municipalities in North Brabant and North Limburg. In the Language and Preparatory Program, you learn Dutch, take courses to become eligible for admission to a study program, and prepare yourself for studies at a Dutch university or university of applied sciences. The Language and Preparatory Program at Tilburg University's Language Center consists of three steps: Nt2 Beginners, Nt2 Intermediate, and the pre-Bachelor's program. You can also take the pre-Bachelor's program at Fontys University of Applied Sciences. Upon completion of the Language and Preparatory Program, you will have your civic integration diploma and you can start studying at a university of applied sciences or university.
