He's one of the fastest rising stars on the Montreal comedy scene, and Andrew Searles is only in his early 20’s.Starting comedy at his college, Andrew amazed not only his peers, but his fellow students, teachers and close friends.Now years later, he’s taking on not only other colleges and Universities, but comedy clubs in Montreal, and across Canada by storm.
Andrew is alive and kicking on the comedy scene, as he has recorded comedy for XM satellite radio, auditioned for “Last Comic Standing”, as well the Just for Laughs 25th Anniversary,and just recently voted three years running in the Top 10 Best Stand-up Comedians in Montreal for 2007, 2008, 2009 according to The Montreal Mirror. He also has appeared in Kidnapper Films short production “SharkBoy” which debuted at the Just for Laughs Comedia Festival in 2004, as well as hosted Montreal's "U Got Jokes" featuring comedians featured on BET.
On stage he discusses his views on life experiences growing up how, to the crazy life he lives everyday being African Canadian, to relationships, experiences with various cultures, to his dead-on impressions of celebrities, he is sure to leave the crowd very pleased and dying for more.
Often performing at the colleges & universities, he has become a favorite and recurring comedian performing on campuses. Andrew has had the luxury of opening for some of the big names in Canadian and International comedy such as Joey Elias, Sugar Sammy, Wayne Flemming, Russell Peters,Martha Chaves, Al Lubel, Kenny Robinson, Jocko Alston, Damian the Hypnotist, among many more.
