Swedish Customs is a government agency that controls the flow of goods in and out of Sweden, contributing to a safe society, and competition-neutral trading. We simplify the legal trade and prevent the illegal by offering flexible customs procedures for foreign trade, a simple border crossings for travelers and effective border protection. Our mandate comes from the Swedish parliament and government. Swedish Customs was founded in 1636 and currently has about 2 300 employees.
