CSSD (Shanghai Stock Exchange: 601512) is the joint-venture master developer set up by the governments of Singapore and China in August 1994, for the development of the flagship bilateral cooperation project Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP). As an epitome of China’s successful reform and opening-up, SIP has continuously been ranked as one of the most competitive development zones in China.
CSSD has also emerged as one of China’s leading township developer and was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in December 2019, in an IPO that raised RMB 1.36 billion.
CSSD currently has a portfolio that includes 5 integrated township developments in various parts of China and an integrated urban development project in Myanmar that was jointly set up with Singapore’s Sembcorp Development in 2020.
In 2021, CSSD set up a wholly owned subsidiary in Singapore to operate the Suzhou Industrial Park International Business Cooperation Centre (Singapore) that focuses on creating an eco system for both Singapore-bound Chinese investments and Singapore-based tech start-ups looking to venture to the Greater China market.
