Kalmar University was a Swedish state university in Kalmar. On January 1, 2010, the university merged with Växjö University and then formed Linnaeus University. The university conducted research and teaching with courses and programs in the areas and subjects: natural sciences, technology, data, economics, tourism, social sciences, humanities, behavioral sciences, care, shipping, design and media. The university also had teacher training. Previously, this was called Rostad's folk school seminar in Kalmar, but it was then included as part of the university.
