The core business of the company is wholesale capacity provider in Albania, for both data and internet.
Albanian Telecommunications Union (ATU) was established on September 2010. The core business of the company is wholesale capacity provider in Albania, for both data and internet. The capacity will be provided via a fully owned fiber optic network, which can be considered as the backbone network of Albania. The license for the construction and operation of the fiber network on the Albanian national highways has been granted to ATU by the Governmental Authorities.
By interconnecting all the large cities of the country, as well as the borders of all the neighboring countries (Kosovo (Morine), Macedonia (Qafe Thane and Tushemisht), Montenegro (Morichan and Hani Hotit) and Greece (Kakavije and Kapshtice), ATU can provide services to local and international markets while managing the growing volume of telecommunications traffic from and to Albania.
Based on the network deployment progress, different sections of the network are brought into operation, and the whole network is scheduled to be fully operational within q1 of 2012, from where a wide range of high quality services can be offered all around the country, ensuring that our clients are going to use the safest and highest quality network in high capacities data transferring.
Currently the company is able to offer service in some of the major cities of the country such as: Tirana, Durres, Elbasan, Pogradec and Korce.
