As a pilot and prospector, Mitch Williams, the son of Moab, Utah’s first doctor, was considered one of the few experts in the pristine labyrinth of spectacular canyons that later came to be designated as Canyonlands National Park. Adventurous travelers often asked Mitch if he would lead them off road into the maze of canyons or guide them on a white water rafting expedition down the Colorado River. He invited these visitors to "Tag-A-Long” with him.
Since that beginning in 1964, Tag-A-Long pioneered Colorado River rafting, Canyonlands National Park off road expeditions, and calm water jet boat tours. Today, we offer more than two dozen trips in the Moab area ranging from four hours to four days or more. A number of trips are gentle enough for the entire family; others traverse massive class III-V rapids on America’s legendary Colorado River through Utah.
We remain true to Mitch’s vision by concentrating completely on the Colorado River corridor, Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park. Whether you want a gentle float trip through sublime canyons, to explore the fascinating, seldom-seen backcountry by off road vehicle or jet boat, or an all-out white water rafting adventure, we’ll show you the most spectacular places seen by few and guide you on a wonderfully memorable adventure.
