In November 1998, the basis of the current company, BRIMAS A/S, was established when the two brothers, Peter and Thomas Iversen, founded a limited liability partnership under the name of Brdr. Iversen I/S.
The idea of the company was to manufacture steel fittings for the boat industry.
For a number of years, the two brothers, Peter and Thomas Iversen, participated in elite level yacht racing and had in this way acquired knowledge of the industry and established contacts within it.
Brdr. Iversen started their business in the premises of the former "Horsens Sausage Factory" at Emil Møllersgade 131 in Horsens.
The first machines they bought were a TIG welder, a cold saw and plate shears – all second-hand machines.
Since its foundation in 1998, the company has focused on delivering the quality requested by the customer at the time agreed.
Already after the first year, the target group of the company was extended and changed to include primarily sub-contracting work in stainless steel and aluminium in Horsens and environs.
In the summer of 2001, the company outgrew the approx. 100m2 premises at Emil Møllersgade and moved into new leased premises of approx. 650m2 at Hvidtfeldtsvej 3 in Horsens.
At the same time, the company was converted from a limited liability partnership into a private limited company.
During Easter of 2007, the company again moved into new premises as it had built a 2000m² factory at Satellitvej 10, DK-8700 Horsens.
Activities were further increased to include supplies of structural steel, including balconies, staircases, etc. The name was therefore changed as of 1 July 2008 from Brdr. Iversen rustfri stålteknik ApS to BRIMAS A/S. On the same occasion, the corporate form was changed from a private limited company to a limited liability company.
The company’s first employee was hired on 1 October 2001 and today the company has 55 employees.
