Chicago Coalition to End Homelessness (CCH) works to make housing a human right, combining organizing, advocacy, legal aid, and community education to create lasting change.
Through community organizing, we train people with lived experience of homelessness to understand and advocate on the issues that impact their lives. Working in Chicago and throughout Illinois, CCH takes the word “coalition” seriously, partnering with service providers, faith communities, allied groups, and concerned individuals on strategic campaigns and policy initiatives that promote the development of affordable housing and services for people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Through research and community education, we dispel misconceptions about homelessness, and foster a greater understanding of the causes of and solutions to poverty. This work is coupled with our Law Project, which provides direct legal assistance to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, with a special emphasis on supporting students and youth.
Together, we strive for a world where everyone has a safe, welcoming, and permanent place to call home.
