Brottsofferjouren is a non-profit organisation that helps people who have been
victims of crimes. There are 93 local crime victim centres around the country.
They have people who have been trained to help crime victims. They listen, give
advice, and can provide information about your rights. You can get information
on the judicial process. If you must be present during a trial, you don’t need to
be alone.
Our help is free of charge. We won’t tell anyone else what you say
to us. Everyone who works for us has given a pledge of confidentiality.
We are not a government agency. We have no political or religious affiliation.
Brottsofferjouren is a network that operates based on the UN’s human rights.
