Our mission is to spark creativity, foster learning, empower individuals, and facilitate community connections through the visual arts. We offer Art Education, Art Therapy, Community Arts, Afterschool and no-school day programs and Summer Camps.
Whether by giving a child the opportunity to explore creative activities and make new friends in an art camp or class, using art to help at-risk students succeed in school, or providing a supportive, therapeutic arts community for adults, CREATE is firmly committed to the belief that each individual and our entire community is made better through the transformative power of art.
Art Education
CREATE’s Art Education programs foster a sense joy and excitement in the art making process. Our experienced teaching artists are fluent in both art techniques and instruction and provide students the opportunities to explore their own creativity and imagination in a creative, safe, inclusive, and respectful space.
Art Therapy
Art Therapy is a highly effective means of enhancing individual wellbeing and treating a variety of symptoms, age groups, and disorders. CREATE’s art therapists are experienced in supporting both children and adults, and in addressing mental health challenges ranging from autism, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, traumatic brain injury, or loss or trauma as well as personal challenges such as stress, depression, trauma, anxiety, grief, and family relationships.
Community Arts
CREATE enjoys collaborating with other organizations and individual groups to offer community art projects at markets, fairs, and other types of events. We love engaging in creative partnerships to build awareness and hands-on enjoyment of the arts for as many people as possible.
