The Advisory Group (TAG) is a “boutique type” regional healthcare consulting company. Being the first and most experienced healthcare consulting firm in the region, TAG is a ‘boutique’ firm which does not have a website, does very little marketing, and works by referral only.
Dedicated to the delivery of evidence based and result-oriented healthcare solutions, TAG’s scope of practice covers three major sectors as follows:
• Medical Planning and Medical Equipment Planning – TAG works with investors and/or healthcare architecture and engineering firms on delivering functional space programs, finishes and engineering requirements, room data sheets, as well as detailed specifications for medical equipment. Currently TAG is actively involved as the Medical Planners for Kuwait Ministry of Health 9 hospital (6000 beds) project; Ministry of Public Works for its 2 hospital (1200 bed) project, and Amiri Diwan for its Medical City in Jahra (1200 beds). Projects underway are in partnership with major international A/E firms.
• Health Economics – Covering the full spectrum of applied health economics at both the micro (feasibility studies and business plans) and macro levels (sector assessments and reform initiatives). Most recently, TAG concluded the feasibility study for the largest health sector PPP project in the region - Kuwait Health Assurance Company for Kuwait Investment Authority.
• Healthcare Organizational and Management Systems – TAG works with both greenfield and operational healthcare facilities on developing evidence based, clinical and administrative, operating processes and systems (management blue prints). At the onset of its establishment in 1997, TAG was the exclusive operating partner for JCAHO in the Middle East and North Africa and worked together with its management on realizing JCIA. Our partnership with JCIA was concluded in 2003.
Ahmad M. Nsouli and Juliana M. Shawa are the two partners/principals of The Advisory Group.
