The SHAPE International School (SIS) is an integral part of the Supreme Headquarters of Allied Powers in Europe (SHAPE). It is a federated complex in which an integrated kindergarten and national sections (eight elementary sections established by Belgium, Canada, Germany, Great-Britain, Italy,The Netherlands, Norway, United States and three secondary sections provided by Belgium, Germany and United States) operate side by side with the cooperation of an International General Services Unit.
17 NATO and 21 Partners for Peace countries are currently represented in the student body. The total school population includes 2.431 students and 220 teachers for the school year 2000/2001.
