Hey Gorgeous! All the way back in 1999, an acclaimed Australian Hair & Makeup Artist (David McConnell) wanted to create a brand that was 100% Australian and all about makeup. And of course, the only way to get started was to create Australia’s largest lip & eye color range in our first boutique in Prahran (Melbourne, Australia)! That little Gorgeous Cosmetics store was literally bursting at the seams with makeup, and certainly caught the right type of attention in that funky fashion district. The makeup industry soon learns that Gorgeous Cosmetics is a brand that professional artists support,while remaining user-friendly, approachable, and reasonably priced. – and don’t we all love that! Launched in 2006, Base Perfect Foundation rapidly becomes the flagship item in our line. The iconic foundation was created after years of thorough development. This vitamin-infused, silicon-based formula, which is highly pigmented for exceptional coverage and light and dewy for a realistic, skin-mimicking effect, amazingly proved to perform miracles on skin of all types. Once you try Base Perfect was tried, people get addicted for life, whether it was on models at Fashion Week, Robin Wright in the Netflix series "House of Cards," dancers in the Australian Ballet, or simply the girl next door. And of course, our line up also includes all the usual makeup suspects – mascaras, liquid and pencil liners, powders, highlighters, bronzers, lipsticks, glosses, false lashes, blush and eyeshadow. Fast forward to today…our mission today is the same as it always has been. We want you to “Be You. Be Gorgeous”. And we know that using makeup can sometimes be tricky, so we always make our products from high performing ingredients that blend, combine and integrate with ease. We also like to use skin friendly products, like Aloe Vera, Vitamins A & E, Olive Wax and Bamboo Extract, amongst others. Tested on animals – you don’t even have to ask – of course not!
