The Tarang Music and Dance Academy provides instruction on musical instruments (Piano, Guitar, Keyboard,, Drums, Tabla), singing and Dance (Kathak, Bollywood, free-style, Contemporary, etc). The Academy also functions as a centre for the examinations of the Associated Board Prayag Sangeet Samiti and affiliated by Trinity College of Music (London), Royal Schools of Music (England), Pracheen Kala Kendra and Ghandharva Mahavidyalaya. There is a growing emphasis not just on individual performance but on ensemble playing, aural development and music appreciation. The staff and students of the Academy benefit from the workshops conducted by both visiting artistes and other musicians. Periodically, there are pupils' concerts that acquaint the students with performance protocols etc. Tarang Music and Dance Academy comprises 7 faculties which are National and Internationally renowned and devoted to the dissemination and enjoyment of music and dance with the primary objectives described below: · To promote and encourage music and dance, · To arrange concerts and recitals by visiting and local artistes, and · To collaborate with other similar cultural organisations to encourage and develop among the musically inclined, an appreciation and understanding of music and dance art.
