GiGi’s Playhouse is a nationally established series of Down syndrome achievement centers with 31 locations in North America and Mexico. The Raleigh location opened on June 18th, 2016.
Our center serves individuals with Down syndrome from infant to adult, their families and the community. The playhouse provides educational and therapeutic programs as well as job training for adults with Down syndrome - all at NO charge to families. The programs focus on all aspects of skill development including education, math, literacy, social skills, speech and language, fine and gross motor, after school tutoring, career preparation, independent living skills and more.
GiGi’s Playhouse makes a difference every day. Our unique points of difference empower individuals and their parents to achieve their greatest potential with confidence, independence, and joy. We have a “place”– we will never let location be a barrier to success. We have “programs”– we will never let curriculum be a boundary to achievement. Most importantly, all our programs are FREE. We will never let cost be a barrier from participation or impede the achievement of children and adults with Down syndrome.
GiGi’s Playhouse was founded by Nancy Gianni and is headquartered in Hoffman Estates, IL. Nancy was recognized as a CNN HERO for 2016.
