EAST BENGAL CLUB was formed on 1st August 1920 as a Sports and Cultural association of people who primarily hailed from the erstwhile eastern provinces of undivided Bengal. The Club was an ‘epicenter’ for the millions who were painfully displaced from their roots due to our country’s political division and partition post Independence from the British Rule.
Every success of East Bengal was a passionate celebration of pride and existence for the community.
‘The Hand holding Flame Torch’ – became THE CLUB SYMBOL and IDENTITY.
