To this end, we focus on providing mobility training and pair suitable candidates with Guide Dogs. We are committed to making further inroads for Guide Dog access with building owners, food establishments and regulators. To date, we have successfully trained and paired 10 guide dog teams in our history, of which 5 are currently active. A steadily increasing number of potential clients have also joined our waiting list. Our logo shows the close relationship between the person, a guide dog and a white cane, the two cornerstones of our programmes which allow our clients to move independently to participate in the community. The slogan “Enabling The Vision Impaired” reflects our values to provide people with vision impairment with life skills that enable them to be self-sufficient. We have been accorded Charity status by the Commissioner of Charities. Furthermore, we are registered with the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) as an associate member and we hold an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status. Thus, donations S$20 and above are eligible for 250% tax deduction.
