The Organising Committee of the 17th FINA World Championships to be held in July/August 2017 in Budapest-Balatonfüred is the not for profit Ltd. Bp2017. This entity was specially created for the successful organisation of the FINA World Championships (under the guidance of the International Swimming Federation), which is considered to be one of the most important sporting events, raising global interest, behind the Olympics and the Soccer World Championships. Sport disciplines include swimming, open water swimming, synchronized swimming, diving, high diving and water polo competitions. The company is also responsible for hosting the so-called MASTERS World Championships in August 2017, which is the No.1 sports gathering for aquatics athletes aged 25 years and over in 14 different age groups.
