The establishment of the Roscongress Foundation in December 2015 was spearheaded by the government of the Russian Federation, and created following a restructuring of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Foundation.
The Foundation aims to improve Russia’s global image, increase efficiency when implementing economic policy, and foster an environment conducive to cooperation between Russian and international leaders in the business and political communities. The Foundation primarily organizes and runs multilateral and international events, summits, round table discussions, conferences, seminars, business meetings, presentations, exhibitions, and festivals. In addition to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Foundation has helped organize the International Banking Congress, the International Investment Forum in Sochi, the Open Innovations Forum, as well as a number of multilateral events where Russia was the host country (APEC, APPF, G20, SCO, BRICS, Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, and others).
In 2015, the decision was taken by the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) Organizing Committee to transfer the duties of organizing the event in 2016 to the Roscongress Foundation.
Since it began operating, the Roscongress Foundation has cultivated high quality standards for running business congresses and exhibitions, which are frequently commended by attendees from Russia and further afield. The Roscongress Foundation team have won a range of prestigious professional awards, and have earned a reputation for being a reliable partner when it comes to organizing events at the very highest level.
