Kannah Consulting is a mission-driven consulting firm focused on energy and sustainability. Our work reduces greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change.
Our primary practice is in energy efficiency research and policy. We identify energy savings technologies that reduce energy use of lighting, appliances and buildings. Through market and technical research, we recommend opportunities for incentive program development and appliance standards. We develop testing plans and procedures, oversee testing, and conduct engineering analyses to understand the relationship between cost and efficiency. We apply our findings to calculate expected energy savings of specific measures and support clients in communicating findings to their stakeholders.
Kannah means “valley with willows” in the Native American Ute tongue and refers to a special region of the western edge of the Rocky Mountains where for more than 10,000 years, people have lived – and continue to do so - in relative harmony with the natural world along Kannah Creek. Kannah Consulting seeks to extend this harmony with the natural world on a global level so that people around the world can thrive in their own “valleys with willows”.
