Kenneth Gordon Maplewood School is a non-profit organization located in North Vancouver that supports K-12 students with complex learning differences such as dyslexia, autism, ADHD and anxiety. Our specialized program offers students small academic classes with personalized instruction, one-on-one Orton-Gillingham tutoring, a focus on hands-on learning, and social-emotional support.
Statistics show that students with learning challenges, who do not receive the support that they need, have a higher risk of dropping out of school, adult suicide, and homelessness. We are determined to ensure that children with these challenges continue to have access to our program, so we can continue to unlock and remove obstacles to their learning, and help them grow personally and experience greater academic success.
KGMS has been serving Vancouver and the Lower Mainland for over 40 years, and is a fully accredited school for students in kindergarten through grade 12.
