Welcome to College Essay Builder! Using my experience as an English teacher and published writer, I started helping students with their college application essays in 2007. The overwhelming majority of my coaching clients have been accepted to BYU. But it hasn’t stopped there; my students have also been accepted to prestigious programs such as BYU MBA, Oxford, Northwestern, and other renowned institutions. I began to recognize patterns — problem areas, if you will — in how most students plan and write college essays. So in response, I’ve spent the last few years creating and honing a systems-based approach to writing college application essays that consistently produces excellent results. Up until now, one-on-one coaching has allowed me to work with a limited number of students.
