Mashambanzou Care Trust is a registered private voluntary organisation (WO9/90), based in Waterfalls, Harare. The organisation was founded in 1989 by Sister Noreen Nolan of the Little Company of Mary Sisters, in response to the HIV pandemic. Our mission is to provide quality integrated health services and empower the most vulnerable communities to deal with HIV and AIDS. This emanates from our vision of resilient and healthier communities empowered to deal with HIV. As Mashambanzou Care Trust (MCT), our catchment areas comprise of the majority of the most vulnerable groups by age and demographically (the poorest of the poor), displaced, aliens, farm communities/resettlements, who live in over-crowded poor housing facilities where there are very few service providers. Mashambanzou Care Trust also works to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS, promote prevention strategies and reduce stigma and discrimination associated with the disease.
