Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing ministry that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities, and hope. Our Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally in Somerset and Hunterdon Counties through constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes. We advocate for fair and just housing policies and providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all. Our great volunteers, together with our individual, corporate, and faith-based donors make it possible to build Habitat homes. Our building volunteers provide labor support, while donors provide money and materials to help build Habitat houses. Even our Partner families invest sweat-equity hours to share in building the house which they will soon live.
