The Santa Fe Youth Symphony Association provides music instruction and performance opportunities in orchestra, mariachi, and jazz. Additionally, Elementary Strings, the 2010 recipient of the Piñon Award for Excellence in Education, provides stringed-instrument instruction in six public and private elementary schools around the city of Santa Fe. SFYSA's mission is to provide young people in northern New Mexico with educational opportunities to discover their musical potential and develop that potential into musical skills and appreciation.
