Sunshine Frère is an inter-media artist based in Canada. She has an MA in Interactive Media from Goldsmiths, and a BFA in Studio Arts and Electroacoustic studies from Concordia University.
Frère’s artistic practice is cross-disciplinary and interactive. Her work has been exhibited in Canada and Europe. She is also a writer and curator. Frère regularly works within local, national and international art communities. She currently sits on Access Gallery's Board, she is the General Manager for Other Sights for Artists' Projects and the Curatorial Programmer for the New Media Gallery.
From 2014-2017 Frère was the Visual Arts Writer for Vancouver is Awesome and from 2012-2015, Frère was the Programming Chair on the board of the Contemporary Art Society of Vancouver. In this role she programmed artist talks, multiple collection visits and exhibition tours.
