Dedicated Capacity Operating and running a true carrier-grade Tier-1 optical backbone, allows Moratel to offer customers dedicated national inter-capital capacity, via private links ranging from 10/100Mbit IP services on our IP network, right up to protected clear channel STM-1 (155Mbit/sec) and STM-4 (622Mbit/sec) capacity via our Optical network. Network Redundancy As with our IP network, Moratel places a high importance on having a redundant network. As a result, our network also has in-built redundancy, ring backbone infrastructure and radio microwave link back up for fiber optic failure (fiber cut). This allows the network to instantly 'fail over' during network connectivity disruptions, and divert traffic around the affected cable.
