The Resilience Advisors Network (RAN) is a group of some 160 European practitioners, all from a background in emergency and disaster management with extensive hands-on experience of disaster risk reduction in all its phases - prevention, preparedness, response and recovery.
From its membership, RAN forms specialist, subject-specific teams to support a large and diverse portfolio of projects with a focus on strengthening community, locality or infrastructure resilience from emergencies and disasters.
Typical work includes capacity analysis, benchmarking, policy development, research, operational excellence, training / evaluation and executive support for senior leaders.
RAN is truly an international organisation. Advisors come from all over the world but with a higher density in Europe. This enables the network to understand local and specific needs whilst maintaining a current and global perspective.
Formed in 2015, RAN operates in Europe and the Middle East.
Since 2019, RAN has managed the Commission funded not-for-profit platform CMINE which networks some 1500+ Crisis Management and Innovation experts as they support research excellence through programmes such as Horizon Europe, Marie-Curie and Erasmus. https://www.cmine.eu
