The Alliance for Positive Health (formerly the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York) is a community-based organization dedicated to improving lives impacted by HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses. For 35 years the agency has modeled client-centered care and provided skills to help those we serve make informed decisions.
The Alliance for Positive Health is the preeminent provider of AIDS services in a seventeen county region in Upstate New York with offices in Albany, Hudson Falls, Hudson, Plattsburgh, and Schenectady.
We work with individuals who face barriers to accessing health care and social services and strive to reduce health disparities. Our clients' diagnoses are often complicated by stigma, addiction, poverty, homelessness, incarceration or mental illness – and these are the factors which also place them at risk of infection with HIV, Hepatitis C, and other Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
