The Peninsula Studios is a national award winning content creation house. Our vision is to curate folk and classical music from all parts of the subcontinent and series of audiovisual We have created a branded property Nokia Music Theater which has been broadcast on MTV and in 2016 we have curated and produced Coke Studio Roots. The vision is to present music from Aizwal, Dhaka, right up to Mazhar-e-Sharif in Afghanistan, from Gilgit, to Kandy in Sri Lanka, where poets, saints, fakirs have traveled over centuries to create the most wonderful body of work. Hence the name The Peninsula Studios. We focus on curating folk, classical music and music in different languages in two of our programs Baithak Recordings and Discovering The Peninsula. Our production Emperors of Melody pays tribute to the legendary music directors of our films. We present high quality theatre in Chamber Theatre Live @ The Peninsula Studios. Our associate company presents Brains Trust. We have created a state of the art recording studio and performance space envisioned by one of India’s leading architect Ratan J Batliboi. We have demonstrated the ability to create robust branded properties which are versatile and have multiple consumer points to provide the brand experience around the content we create. Equally our program changes lives. Nokia Music Theatre is our first program which was designed for 3 years and got extended to 5, the program is rooted in the core brand idea of Nokia - Connecting People. In 2015 the Coca Cola Company entrusted us with creating Coke Studio Roots, rooted in a very powerful thought Taste the Feeling, taking the Coke Studio program to the grass roots. We treat these properties as trustees of the brand. Our mission is curate music from all parts of the subcontinent and present it to a wider audience across the world, we believe music changes lives for the better.
