Rathbone is a British youth charity that specialises in transforming the lives of young people through work based training in the form of apprenticeships and traineeships.
Rathbone is a registered charity which merged with NCG in January 2012. Together both organisations have been working together to create life changing opportunities for 14-24 year olds across the UK. Rathbone plays a vital role in creating prospects for thousands of young people at risk of long term social and economic exclusion, by engaging or re-engaging them in learning.
We have a long track record of successfully supporting young people and educate over 5,000 learners in our centres across England, Scotland and Wales each year.
Our work is inspired by the vision of our founder, Elfrida Rathbone, who believed that everyone could make progress through learning. We believe that every young person has the potential to achieve a positive future and that, given the right opportunities and support, all young people can learn, progress, and succeed in their chosen career.
Our ambition is to be an outstanding provider of education, employability skills and career development; and an advocate for young people. Our young people are at the heart of the decisions we make and directly inform the way that we work.
