Montreal Confucius School is a vibrant non-profit organization, which is oriented to promote an excellent educational training in Chinese Culture and Confucius philosophy as well as in different fields of expertise in primary and secondary education in Canada. Montreal Confucius School has been growing rapidly since its first establishment in 2006. We are one of the co-organizers of the Chinese Heritage Summer Camps (visits to China funded by the Chinese government).
As we are constantly adapting to the new reality of our global communities and aiming to create awareness on sustainability and on socio-political issues, we are always seeking to attract new talent to envision a globally interconnected world. Our students age from 3 to 17, in addition to our adult-level students and groups ranging from one-on-one to numerous class sizes to curate our programs to students’ needs and linguistic communities.
Our curriculum comprehends a wide offer of inclusive courses for all cultural communities using numerous innovative pedagogical approaches.
-Language learning (French, English and Mandarin)
-Stimulating Mandarin learning for local business people
-Visual arts (Chinese painting, Chinese calligraphy, international art appreciation, oil painting, sketching, manga, etc.)
-Performing arts and Public Speaking (French and English) (Chinese folk dances, Chinese musical instruments, ballet, hip-hop, vocal music, figure training, drama, etc.
-Sciences (mathematics, robotics, coding, animation, etc.)
-Sports (tai-chi, ping-pong, badminton, Zumba, taekwondo, Chinese martial arts, etc.).
-Day camps during spring break, Christmas break and summer vacation.
In response to the outbreak of COVID-19, we started online teaching in March 2020, which is well received by both students and parents. We offer home schooling programs (9 am-5 pm on weekdays), after-school programs (5–9 pm) and weekend programs (9 am-5 pm). All courses are currently given online.
