Sawtooth School for Visual Art is a non-profit community art and craft school in downtown Winston-Salem, NC. Sawtooth offers classes and workshops in eleven disciplines and fosters creativity through its community outreach programs, including Art + Wellness, serving patients, survivors, and caregivers.
Since 1945, Sawtooth has been a creative hub for the region, offering high-quality and hands-on offerings for students of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. Sawtooth has recently expanded with two wood-fired kilns at the North Carolina Museum of Art, Winston-Salem (SECCA) and two studios at the Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness, a new 62,500-square-foot, state-of-the-art community center built in collaboration with 21 partners.
