Set atop a ridge in the valley of San Juan de Dios in Costa Rica, Cascada Elysiana (or Elysian Falls) is thrilled to be welcoming travelers to our nature park and permaculture gardens, featuring one of Central America's most beautiful waterfalls (over 120 ft. tall!) and numerous other falls, cascades and dipping pools. An Eco-Lodge & Retreat Center in-progress, Cascada Elysiana will also conduct and host workshops with a focus on personal growth, wellness and environmentally responsible living.
Our orchards and hiking trails are a reforestation project 30 years in-the-making, exquisitely designed by Eugene Mitchell, who sought to rehabilitate the land surrounding these majestic falls, which had previously been deforested for cattle ranching. We're continuing in his tradition and expanding the scope of the vision that was set in motion all those decades ago.
We invite you to come adventure with us. Discover the beauty of this natural environment, investigate the depths of your inner environment, and explore the interconnection between the two.
