The New Mexico Bioscience Authority (NMBSA) was created in 2017 by the legislature as an official state agency and the state’s first public-private partnership which includes state government, research institutions, national laboratories, and private industry.
The mission of the NMBSA is to grow and support New Mexico’s bioscience industry by attracting capital investors, influencing policy and assisting in infrastructure and business development. New Mexico‘s research universities, private biotechnology companies, venture capitalists and bioscience startups all collaborate to make New Mexico a vibrant, sustainable bioscience hub in the United States.
