Lane Cove Council is located on the lower North Shore of Sydney, just a bus stop away from the city. The Municipality of Lane Cove is just over 10 square kilometres in size and is bounded by Lane Cove River, the Pacific Highway, Mowbray and Epping Roads.
Lane Cove Council employs approximately 300 people across 20+ diverse functions.

Council draws its charter from the Local Government Act 1993, which in summary directs Council to provide, after consultation, adequate, equitable and appropriate services and facilities for the community and to ensure that those services and facilities are managed efficiently and effectively.
