Isigny Sainte Mère is a French dairy cooperative located in the Isigny terroir of Normandy, which is the cradle of the famous Isigny butter and “crème fraiche”(cultured cream).
It is owned by almost 700 dairy farmers members representing 500 dairy farms in the 3 Normandy districts of Calvados, and Manche and Orne.
Isigny Sainte Mère is collecting and processing close to 200 million liters of milk per year. It is marketing its members ‘milk in 2 different kinds of products nationally and internationally, both under the “Isigny Sainte Mère” brand and under its clients brands:
- Fresh dairy products: high quality butters and creams and traditional French cheeses.
- High-grade infant milk powder.
Quality and safety of products is one of the strategic pillars at Isigny Sainte Mère. With more than 300 medals and 2 Excellence Awards, the cooperative is the most awarded dairy company at the Concours Général Agricole (national food industry contest) in Paris.
Isigny Sainte Mère sales amount to € 260 million of which 45% are exported in more than 40 countries. It employs 700 people on 2 sites in Normandy.
